ISAM Seeks Nominations For Its 2006 z/ELITE Award For Mainframe Software Optimization
(St. Paul, Minn. - August 1, 2006) - ISAM (Information Systems Asset Management) announced today it is seeking nominations for its 2006 z/ELITETM Award. The award recognizes companies for achieving “Best in Class” status for the successful management of their mainframe software costs. The “ELITE” in z/ELITE stands for “Excellence in Leveraging Information Technologies.”
ISAM will conduct a free SCORcardSM Assessment during the nomination period and will use its proprietary benchmarking tools to rank companies. ISAM will choose winners that are “Best in Class” when benchmarked against data centers of similar size. Up to three winners will be chosen in each of three MIPS classes. ISAM defines “Best in Class” as having achieved a top 10 percent ranking among similar sized data centers for software costs.
“The free SCORcard Assessment will be extremely valuable even to those that believe they have not yet reached ‘Best in Class’ status,” added ISAM's director of operations, Alan Bain. “All nominees are provided valuable information to better understand the magnitude of software savings available to them.”

z/ELITE nominations will be accepted from August 1 - November 15, 2006 and winners will be notified by December 15. ISAM will hold a special awards ceremony at each winner's company and present the 2006 z/ELITE Award to the person or team to be recognized.
